Be a Voice for the Unborn
Become a voice for unborn children. Contact elected officials to support pro-life
legislation. Contact the news media or corporate sponsors of programs to object to stories or programs which are slanted
toward abortion as the best option for unwanted pregnancies. Politicians, media, and corporate sponsors do listen to the
public. Let them hear your voice, since an unborn child about to be killed by abortion has no voice speaking for him or her.
INFORMATION ABOUT ISSUES:
There are many sources of information about pro-life issues. A few Web sites which
maintain updated pro-life news are listed below. As you read newspapers, watch television,
or listen to radio, be sensitive to messages or programs which glorify pro-choice
positions or unfairly criticize pro-life positions.

PROGRAM SPONSOR
If you see an unfair or offensive program, contact the program’s corporate sponsor
(advertiser). Since a corporation sponsors a program for the purpose of trying to sell a
product or service, it is likely to be sensitive to complaints from dissatisfied
viewers.
To contact a corporate sponsor (advertiser):
- Enter the corporation’s name, enclosed in quotation marks, in the search
box of a good search engine, such as
Google™, and enter (submit) it.
- The corporate sponsor should appear almost immediately.
- Click on the corporation’s underlined Web address. You will be routed to
the corporation’s home page.
- Usually on that home page a link for contact information will be listed.
This link may be in small type (some searching may be required), under a title such as
Contact, Feedback, or About Us.
- There commonly may appear an e-mail form to facilitate your online
correspondence. There may also be a toll-free telephone number and a postal mailing
address.
Remember:
- Always be polite and courteous. An abusive or threatening message likely
will not be read or will be disregarded. Some threatening messages may be illegal.
- Be concise. A brief message may be read. A lengthy message may be ignored
by busy staff personnel. Your message may only be kept in a tally format– “for” or
“against” an issue– but it is counted.
- Make you point(s) briefly, decisively, and logically. Place your best
argument(s) at the beginning of the message.
- Do not be surprised if you do not receive a personal reply. Someone at
the company has noted your concern, however. A corporation realizes that only a small
fraction of a program’s audience will take the time to write. Therefore, your message has
a multiplier effect, because the corporation will feel that your voiced message represents
many who feel similarly, but do not take the time to write.
- "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do
nothing." Attributed to Edmund Burke (1729-1797)
